

Say I'm making a map of the middle floor. We have 2 or 3 floors/levels of a building.

What happens if I leave an AP off the map? Does it's signal strength between itself and the other APs in the same building simply not get drawn in, but when sampling clients may be connected to an un-mapped AP and sample will fail? Is it necessary to put all of a site's APs on a single map? I would think if you didn't, then your samples and coverage wouldn't be complete, but it's not clear how the Network Atlas Heatmap Mapping is handling missing APs. I'm curious what people are doing when creating wireless heatmaps for larger buildings?
